The sand separator is mainly composed of a shaftless spiral, liner, U-shaped tank, water tank, a baffle, and water outlet driving device.

The sand and water mixture are inlet into the water tank from the top of sand separator, and the heavy particles such as sand grains in the mixed liquid will be sedimented on the bottom. Under the push of the spiral, the sand grains are lifted along the bottom of the inclined U-shaped tank, continue to move a distance after leaving the liquid surface. The sand is fully dehydrated then they are discharged to the sand tank through the sand discharge port. The water separated from the sand is discharged from the overflow port and sent to the water tank.
